This Steinway Grand Piano had its debut in 1924 and enjoyed its factory renovated re-birth in 2025 at the hands of the Meyer Piano Factory artisans. The vintage woods harvested in the early 20th Century give this instrument a unique combination of sound: powerful but yet warm and rich.
The Steinway Model L was introduced and produced exclusively in and for the U.S. piano market in 1924. The Model L was the same length as the Model O: 5′ 11.5″. The difference is that the Model L has a wider end rim dimension to provide more power to the lower resonant tonalites of the piano. Steinway’s Hamburg factory continued to produce the Model O throughout the life span of the Model L, which ended in 2005. Shared opinions suggest that Steinway’s re-introduction of the Model O for the U.S. piano market provided necessary efficiencies in manufacturing costs. This change has created a premium “collector” value to Model L pianos that still exist today.

This Boston piano was delivered new to the original owner in 2014…it is considered to be in its “prime”—aged enough for the wood to have settled, but young enough that the mechanical key and hammer actions are fast and feel brand new.
